I have always said how amazing a person Rachel was. It is something that I brag about to everyone I talk to. As many of you have said in comments to this blog, emails to us, comments or messages on myspace or facebook, entries in her obituary on, in flower arrangements and cards, etc., etc.; her smile, laugh, and attitude in life were all contagious to everyone who came into contact with her.

It touches my heart to hear from so many people whose lives she touched. I feel every tear that each and every one of you have shed for her and our behalf. As much as I know all of your prayers are going out to us - I want to let you know that every prayer is reciprocated right back on to you from us. We have been, are currently, and always will be truly blessed to have been in every one of your lives no matter what context it may have been through.

This blog has been a way for me to do many things; I have told our story, I have shared our troubles, and I have got many things off of my chest. I will continue to post entries to this blog; stories of our lives, our loves, and our memories will provide me with years of writing.

I can't thank all of you enough for your condolences and for your love for my "Muffin". May God bless each and every one of you; Rachel is with us now and forevermore in our hearts and memories (and knowing her she is probably making fun of all of us who have cried on her behalf!)

Rachel was a wonderful person... Always willing to do the right thing, even though it may not have been the popular decision. We went to Ursuline high school together, and even though I was much younger, she was always very sweet to me and always willing to lend a listening ear. I thank God that she found you... Although our interactions since highschool were limited, I did know how much she loved you and how happy you made her. We are all better people for having known Rachel. I am heartbroken for you and your family and you will be in my constant thoughts and daily prayers. Shannon O'Hara Sidon

I am so very sorry for you and your family..And for Rach as well. I don't know how, but I never learned she was even ill until it was too late. I'm glad the pain and suffering for her has stopped, but it has left many of us with a very heavy heart. I've read thru your blogs and am so glad that she had you by her side to care for her and love her as you do. My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family..and my thoughts and prayers will be with you as well. She was an amazing girl..even though we lost touch, she was thought of often, and still deeply loved. May God bless you, Lori

Rich- This is Kate, Vuk's girlfriend. I'm so happy I was able to meet Rachel this summer at the July 4th party. She was bright and vibrant and fun to be around. She made me feel like I had known her much longer than just a few hours.
It was strange to me that a few hours before Joe called to tell me about Rachel's passing I had been looking at your flickr site and wondering how she was as I knew from the Christmas letter she wasn't well. I believe people bring you to them when they need you and she was guiding me to look at her.
I hope you and your family's healing can begin soon. My thoughts are with you now.
I also heard from Joe that this weekend was a beautiful celebration of life- as she would have wanted it.
much love.
